HONORS ON THE WAY
As of Thursday, the list of senior night honorees for Oregon State is as follows:
Andy Alfieri
Dylan Black
Bryce Caufield
Anthony Hankerson
Walker Harris
Gabe Milbourn
Tyler Morano
Nick Norris
Jaheim Patterson
Jake Reichle
Jackson Robertson
Kobe Singleton
Skyler Thomas
Tetsuta Tsuyumine
Max Walker
Trent Walker
Van Wells
Mason White
Being on this list doesn’t necessarily mean their college career is over. A few players who were honored last year were able to get another year of eligibility, hence why they won’t be honored this year.
A few of OSU’s seniors are seeking an additional year of eligibility. Whether they are granted it or choose to return to Corvallis remains to be seen. But Saturday will be special regardless.
‘IT’S ABOUT US’
The old cliché of focusing on yourself and not the opponent rings true this week for the Beavers. Sam Houston certainly has aspects of its team to study on film and prepare for, but the Bearkats are 0-8 for a reason. Most of OSU’s gameplan needs to focus on imposing its will on the game. Particularly on offense by establishing the run with Hankerson.
A third straight win would keep the good vibes rolling in Corvallis, and send the seniors out on a high note at Reser. Save for perhaps Lafayette, there has been no better opportunity to pick up a blowout win this season.
OSU also has two winnable road games left after the Sam Houston game: at Tulsa, and at Washington State for round two of the “Pac-2″ championship.
THEY SAID IT
“Just like we were. We were struggling. They’re coming in, they’re trying to find their win. They do some good things up front with their schemes. And their run game, trying to run the ball, spread you out. We’ve got our hands full up front again to see how we can go out there and do what we do.” —OSU edges coach Kharyee Marshall
