TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – We are less than 90 minutes away from kickoff between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers, with the Crimson Tide hoping to remain undefeated in SEC play and the Tigers hoping to start the Frank Wilson era (however long it may be) with an upset over a top-five team on the road.
All week, there was speculation on the status of LSU linebacker Whit Weeks, who has been dealing with an ankle injury for the last three weeks and has caused him to miss the last two games for LSU. Weeks was officially listed as out on the Friday availability report.
Alabama didn’t come out of the bye week unscathed, with sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams listed as probable on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night on the availability reports. Additionally, tight end Danny Lewis Jr. has been listed as questionable all week.
On Saturday, for the gameday report, Williams was removed from the availability report, indicating he will be available on Saturday night for the Crimson Tide. The sophomore from Saraland has caught 33 passes for 495 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
Danny Lewis Jr. was listed as a game-time decision, indicating the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff wants to see Lewis warm up before deciding if he’ll play or not. He’s caught two passes for 17 yards on the season, both in Alabama’s 27-24 win over the Missouri Tigers.
Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
