LSU football to be without Whit Weeks vs Alabama, final injury report

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – LSU football junior linebacker Whit Weeks has officially been ruled out for the matchup with Alabama Saturday night.
Weeks is set to miss his third straight game as he continues to deal with a bone bruise on his ankle, as he is listed as “out” on the SEC’s mandated student-athlete availability report that was updated at 5 p.m. CT Saturday, 90 minutes prior to kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Earlier this week, Weeks was listed as “questionable” before being downgraded to “doubtful” late in the week.
LSU-ALABAMA LIVE UPDATES
Davhon Keys and Tylen Singleton will once again be asked to step up and share time at the linebacker spot for the Tigers (5-3, 2-3 SEC) beside senior West Weeks and Harold Perkins at the Star position in the middle of LSU’s defense against No. 4 Crimson Tide (7-1, 5-0).
Weeks was injured in the game against South Carolina back on Oct. 11.
Along with Weeks, LSU will be even thinner as freshman linebacker Zach Weeks, the younger brother of both West and Whit, is also out against Alabama. The youngest Weeks was the newest name to pop up on the Tigers’ injury report this week. Left tackle Tyree Adams and defense end Gabriel Reliford have been out for weeks.
