Prediction, pick for Darius Fulghum vs. David Stevens

Ryan Wohl details his best bet for Darius Fulghum vs. David Stevens, which is the co-main event of tonight’s boxing card headlined by Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Erickson Lubin.

Darius Fulghum returns after suffering his first career defeat in May and is taking on David Stevens in a Super Middleweight contest. Stevens, 25, has a 15-2 record with 10 knockouts and is 2-2 in his last four bouts. The Main Event of this boxing card is a Super Welterweight fight between Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Erickson Lubin.

Here is my best bet for Darius Fulghum vs. David Stevens.

Before Fulghum lost to Bektemir Melikuziev earlier this year, he was on a dominant run, winning the first 14 bouts of his career, with 12 coming via knockout. But his last fight was an extremely close fight with Fulghum landing more total punches and jabs than Melikuziev. His last fight was his first 12-round fight in his career. Fulghum vs. Stevens is a 10-round bout.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Fulghum is a massive -500 favorite with Stevens being a +350 underdog. Fulghum needs to be more aggressive early in the contest against Stevens. He has the tools to do so, especially since he is the taller fighter in this bout. With Fulghum being such a big favorite, getting him to win by KO/TKO/DQ at +120 is the better play.
