CLEVELAND, Ohio — Scribbles in my Browns notebook as they prepare to face the Jets Sunday:
1. The Browns view this as a “no excuse” game. At least, that’s what I was told by some key NFL people. The Jets are 1-7. They are allowing nearly 28 points a game. They rank No. 26 vs. the run. They can’t decide between Justin Fields and 36-year-old Tyrod Taylor for the starting QB. Fields has had three games of under 50 yards passing. That’s right, THREE games where he couldn’t throw for even 50 yards.
