Two English Premier League clubs looking to get back in the win column meet up on Sunday, as Aston Villa plays host to Bournemouth.
Aston Villa had been struggling in the early going of the 2025-26 season. While the team entered with high expectations after a couple of promising campaigns, it went winless in its first five leagues matches of the new year.
However, the Lions started to turn things around, reeling off four contests in a row, including a hard-fought 1-0 win over Manchester City two weeks ago. Yet, the team was humbled a little bit last Saturday, when Aston Villa stumbled in a 2-0 loss to Liverpool.
Unlike Aston Villa, Bournemouth has had a dream start to its new season. Though the team came up short against ManCity last weekend, it has not deterred the spirit of its supporters, as the Cherries are currently in a European position, albeit just three months into the campaign. Prior to the loss against Manchester City, Bournemouth had earned points in eight consecutive league matches.
