Are the Kansas City Chiefs playing today? NFL Week 10 schedule, matchups, teams on a bye

NFL midseason superlatives: The biggest busts so far

USA TODAY Sports’ Joe Rivera and Chris Bumbaca dish out which players, coaches, and teams have been the biggest letdowns so far.

No team has played more football than the Kansas City Chiefs since Patrick Mahomes arrived.

Andy Reid’s bunch has totaled a league-leading 146 games since the 2018 season and looked virtually unbeatable in most of them. That couldn’t be more different during the 2025 season, as the Chiefs head into their bye week with four losses through nine games.

Whether it is injuries, fatigue or something else is anyone’s guess, but the Chiefs are getting back to full strength. Now they can rest.

The Chiefs are one of four teams that won’t have to worry about participating in the Week 10 action. They are due back in Week 11 for a matchup against the rival Denver Broncos in the Mile High City.

In the meantime, the week off will bring some much-needed rest for Mahomes, Travis Kelce and more. When they return, Kansas City will only have eight games left to defend its AFC West crown before setting its eyes on another Super Bowl run.

Here’s what to know about Week 10.
