Buffalo Bills fall further behind Patriots in AFC East

The Buffalo Bills have fallen further behind the New England Patriots and no longer control their own destiny in the AFC East. New England beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of the few good teams left on their schedule, and they moved to 8-2. The Bills, meanwhile, lost to the lowly Miami Dolphins and fell to 6-3.
With the Patriots having zero AFC East losses and Buffalo with two, there is no tiebreaker where the Bills beat the Patriots at 14-3. The Bills don’t control their own destiny in the AFC East race and need the Patriots to lose.
The Bills also fell behind the Los Angeles Chargers in the wild card race, as L.A. has a better conference record. The Chargers play on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, so lots can still happen.
The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos both won to stay atop the AFC standings.
The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Houston Texans, giving the Bills a one-game lead over the Jags and Chiefs at 5-4.
