Avalon Airport is set to launch its first international flights after Jetstar said it would start a new service to Bali and signalled more destinations could follow as it upgrades its fleet.
Qantas’ low-cost subsidiary will start flying from Avalon to Bali on March 23 as it looks to capitalise on growth in Melbourne’s sprawling western suburbs, which now stretch all the way to Geelong.
