There isn’t a player on the Pittsburgh Steelers happier to have Aaron Rodgers than Cam Heyward. Mainly because it finally gives Heyward the opportunity to finally have a guy on the team he can goof on for being older than him. Heyward took a shot at Rodgers on Thursday when he spoke to the media when a reporter asked him to comment about Rodgers and what he’s like being on the team.
Heyward kept it short and to the point. “He’s a big Nickelback guy,” Heyward said, and also made sure to remind everyone he’s the oldest quarterback in the league.
Rodgers is set to turn 42 this season, but hasn’t shown much drop-off in his game. Rodgers hasn’t thrown for a ton of yards this season but he’s taken care of the football and is among the NFL leaders in passing touchdowns.
This week the Steelers take on the Los Angeles Chargers and we are hoping to see a little more out of the old guys on the team to help this team extend the win streak to two games and keep their lead in the AFC North.
