After a 30-minute interval, the players got back with no overs lost and within two deliveries James Neesham scalped Athanaze. An over after Athanaze fell, the rain came back heavier and halted play once again. There was no let-up this time with the rain unrelenting which eventually ended with the inevitable – a washout.
