HyunA assures fans she’s doing fine after collapsing mid-show in Macau

HyunA has shared a message with her fans after collapsing onstage while performing in Macau.

The former Wonder Girls member was performing at the Waterbomb Macao festival yesterday (November 9), when she fainted onstage mid-performance. The incident took place while she was performing her 2011 hit ‘Bubble Pop!’.

Immediately after collapsing to the ground, the two backing dancers onstage with her rushed to HyunA’s side, before a male security staff member ran over to carry the K-pop singer offstage.

Following the incident, HyunA took to social media to address her fainting: “I’m sorry for not being able to perform as professionally as I wanted to. Honestly, I don’t remember anything.”

“Many fans from Macao came (to see the performance), And of course, my fans too. Everyone came all the way to Macao, and I’m so sorry. I’ll improve my stamina and continue giving my best,” the post further read.

HyunA also insisted that she was fine. “Don’t worry about me. I hope everyone has a good night. Good night.” See the full post below.

In other former Wonder Girls member news, Sunmi released her debut solo EP last week. The EP was accompanied by the lead single and music video, ‘Cynical’, in which she paid tribute to several iconic horror films.

She also spoke to NME about the mini-album and her next steps: “My goal is to give the best performance I can with ‘Cynical’ and the promotional schedule, and then I would like to recharge. Making this album specifically, I really put all my emotions into it, so I think I’m overdue for a recharge. I don’t know how long that will be – but at a timing that [I feel good about], then I’ll come back with some good music. And if there are people waiting for me, then maybe I have a world tour. At least that’s what I hope.”
