Foo Fighters have fuelled rumours they will be one of the acts performing at Anfield next year. Gigs and Tours sent the internet into a frenzy earlier today when they shared a cryptic snap of the seats at Liverpool FC’s stadium emblazoned with the “FF” initials.
Fans were speculating this means the huge rock band, fronted by Dave Grohl, will be one of the acts taking to the stage at L4 in summer 2026. The band, renowned for hits such as Times Like These, have appeared to all but confirm the speculation as they have shared the post from Gigs and Tours.
They also shared an image promoting their 2026 tour, which is titled Take Cover. The US dates of the stadium tour went on general sale on October 31 and included shows in places such as Las Vegas, Chicago and Philadelphia.
However, it seems as though the band, which also comprises Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin, will be jetting across the Atlantic and Merseyside will be one of the stops.
if the band confirm the Anfield date, as expected, they will be joining My Chemical Romance as part of the Anfield summer shows line-up. My Chemical Romance, known for hits such as Teenagers, will be taking to the stage in L4 on Tuesday, June 30.

Anfield has become one of the UK’s premier music venues over recent years with Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and Elton John among the many to play Liverpool FC’s ground in between seasons.
Should the rumours prove true, it will be the first time the Foo Fighters have performed in Liverpool since 2008, when Dave Grohl was joined onstage by Paul McCartney during his headline performance.
The Foo Fighters, founded in 1994 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, have not yet officially announced any performances in the UK for 2026, though a tour is expected.
The Washington-based alternative rock band last appeared in the UK in 2024 for their All Or Nothing tour, which featured shows in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Birmingham.
There have also been rumours spreading that Lady Gaga could be another music superstar to confirm dates at Anfield next summer.
The Just Dance hitmaker is expected to announce stadium shows to mark the final leg of the Mayhem Ball tour.
Reliable insiders from Lady Gaga’s fan community, who have previously leaked accurate information about her North American and Japanese tour dates, now claim the singer is set to return to the UK next year.
The Bad Romance superstar is rumoured to announce both her Liverpool and stadium shows by the end of November, coinciding with the potential reveal of “Total Mayhem” – the follow-up to her latest album.
