Foo Fighters will play two shows at Anfield Stadium next summer. The US band, fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, are known for huge rock anthems such as ‘All My Life,’ ‘The Pretender,’ ‘Best Of You’ and ‘My Hero’ and their incredible live performances.

They sent fans into a frenzy on Sunday, November 9 after Gigs and Tours posted a picture of the seats at Liverpool FC’s stadium emblazoned with the “FF” initials. The band further fuelled speculation after sharing the post to their Instagram story.

Foo Fighters confirmed that they will perform at the home of the Liverpool FC next summer on Thursday, June 25 and Saturday, June 27 2026. It will be the first time Dave Grohl has performed in Liverpool since 2008, when he joined Paul McCartney on stage during his headline performance.

The current Foo Fighters lineup is Dave Grohl (vocals, guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Pat Smear (guitar), Chris Shiflett (guitar), Rami Jaffee (keyboards), and Ilan Rubin (drums). Ilan Rubin joined as the drummer this year, after the departure of Josh Freese.

The home of Liverpool FC has become one of the UK’s premier live music destinations during the football off season.

Foo Fighters will join huge stars such as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Dua Lipa, who have all headlined the stadium in recent years.

My Chemical Romance are already confirmed for 2026 and will perform on Tuesday, June 30 2026.
