Brrr! Cold front is hitting South Florida this week. How low will temps go?

Time to pull out your sweaters and coats, a cold blast is coming to South Florida.

Starting Monday night, temperatures are going to drop due to arctic air that will chill the region. But no need to fret; the cool-down is temporary, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

Here’s what the forecast looks like this week, as per the NWS:

Monday will see a high near 83, with gusts as high as 23 mph and a 20% chance of rain. At night, temperatures will drop to as low as 49 degrees.

Tuesday, temperatures will reach a high of 69 — and a low of 62 at night. It will be a breezy day, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Wednesday is forecast to be mostly cloudy, with a high of 76 degrees during the day and a low of 66 degrees at nighttime.

Thursday will have a high near 78 — and a low of 67 at night.

Friday’s weather should remain chilly (by South Florida standards) at night with a low of 68 degrees. During the day, it is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 80.
