Timothee Chalamet rules out TV comeback, responds to critics who call him a “try-hard”

Reflecting on the experience of losing, Chalamet told Vogue, “If there are five people at an awards show, and four people go home losing, you don’t think those four people are at the restaurant like, ‘Damn, we didn’t win’? I’ve been around some deeply generous, no-ego actors, and maybe some of them are going, ‘That was fun.’ But I know for a fact a lot of them are going, ‘F***!’”

Known for his relentless work ethic and commitment to his craft, Chalamet also addressed critics who label him a “try-hard”. His response was unapologetic: “People can call me a try-hard, and they can say whatever, but I’m the one actually doing it here.”

Up next, the actor will star in Marty Supreme, a sports drama inspired by the life of table tennis legend Marty Reisman. The role, according to early buzz, could once again put Chalamet in the running for another Oscar, a challenge he seems more than ready to take on.
