Sunny Deol, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Tanya Deol visit ailing Dharmendra at hospital: ‘Pray for his speedy recovery’

Veteran actor Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini, son Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol’s wife Tanya Deol, and Salman Khan were spotted visiting him at Mumbai’s Candy Breach Hospital on Monday evening.

Earlier in the day, Hema Malini was spotted arriving at the hospital. Videos of Sunny Deol arriving at the hospital with his son Karan Deol have also been circulating on social media. In the clip, the Gadar actor, seated in the front seat, appears visibly tense and is seen covering his face with his hand. Karan, seated in the back, is seen looking at his phone. Bobby Deol’s wife Tanya Deol, Salman Khan and Ameesha Patel were also spotted leaving the hospital in the evening.

Their visit came amid reports that Dharmendra had been placed on ventilator support and is critical. However, Hema Malini took to Instagram to dismiss the rumours, writing, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”

Sunny Deol‘s team also released an official statement, which read, “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.”

Dharmendra was hospitalised on October 31 for a routine check-up. He has been in the hospital since then. His team had stated at the time, “There is absolutely no cause for concern. The actor is in good health and visits the hospital often for routine medical tests, which is the reason for his current stay. It seems that someone spotted him there, which has led to a frenzy among his fans, but there is nothing to worry about as he is absolutely fine.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Dharmendra will next feature in Sriram Raghavan’s film Ikkis. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, and Jaideep Ahlawat in vital roles. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak War. It is set to hit the theatres on December 25.
