I’M A Celeb star Aitch turned down another huge reality show before signing up for a spot in the jungle.

The 25-year-old is the first rapper to appear on the ITV show in over a decade.

The BRIT-Award winner has officially touched down in Australia ready to take a shot at becoming king of the jungle.

But I’m A Celeb wasn’t the only ITV programme the star has been approached for. 

Aitch revealed that back in 2019, TV bosses had asked him to appear on reality dating show Love Island.

Previously speaking on Capital Breakfast radio, he revealed: “I got asked to go on Love Island. No word of a lie.”

The star would have appeared alongside the likes of Amber Rose Gill and Molly-Mae but admitted he “didn’t have the body”.

He continued: “Obviously it would have been funny, I did think about it. It was a ‘no’ straight away, but it would have been very funny.” 

Aitch, real name Harrison Armstrong, hails from New Moston, Manchester, and launched his hit career aged 15.

In 2023 he won the British Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act gong at The Brits.

Aitch has had nine Top Ten hits and worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

Speaking about the rapper’s latest venture, a TV insider said: “Aitch has a massive following among teenagers and 20-somethings and bosses will be hoping he’ll bring a new generation of fans.

“He’ll make for great viewing as he has a plethora of stories from his time in the music industry.

“He’s also known for having a sharp wit which will keep his campmates and viewers entertained.

“Producers want a broad appeal for audiences at home, and he forms part of the bid to have celebrities of all ages taking part.”

The rap star has since arrived in Australia and the jungle newbie has revealed what he’ll miss most while in camp.

I’M A CELEB 2025 LINEUP

Here’s a list of this years celeb campmates ready to enter the jungle:

  • Shona McGarty – The EastEnders star is swapping the stage for camp life.
  • Kelly Brook – The Model and radio host has been wooed with a big-money ITV deal to head Down Under.
  • Martin Kemp – The Spandau Ballet singer and 80s pop heartthrob will be leading the campfire singalongs this series.
  • Eddie Kadi – Comedian and Strictly star Eddie will no doubt be the practical joker of the group and is ready for camp life.
  • Alex Scott – The former Lioness and Football Focus host will be joining the line-up.
  • Ruby Wax – Chat show icon Ruby will be asking the right questions and getting conversations going in camp.
  • Jack OsbourneRocker Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack is one of the latest signings of the ITV show.
  • Lisa Riley – Bosses are throwing in soap favourite Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle who is played by Lisa.
  • Aitch – The music star has signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity and is the first rapper on the show in 11 years.
  • Vogue Williams – The Irish model and presenter is also joining the line-up.
  • Angry Ginge – A hugely popular football influencer and social media star.
  • Tom Read Wilson – The Celebs Go Dating favourite is set to round out the line-up of stars heading down under.

Wearing a black Adidas tracksuit, he joked he was down under because he has an upcoming tour on the other side of the world.

Speaking to The Sun after landing, Aitch seemingly hinted how he would be great at Bush Tucker Trials involving snakes.

“I don’t mind snakes… snake on toast? It’s all right that, innit?”

He then revealed what he would miss most while in the camp, saying: “I’m gonna miss my sister – even though she’s a little s***.”
