Dianne Buswell shared the moment she shared her pregnancy announcement with her family. The Strictly Come Dancing professional revealed in September that she and YouTuber Joe Sugg were expecting their first child, a baby boy. When the couple shared their delightful news, they confirmed their unborn child’s gender in a video, showing the pair painting two stick figures alongside a baby on a white canvas.
However, with Dianne’s relatives residing in Australia, she had to share the announcement with her loved ones through FaceTime. The couple filmed the touching moment, recording her family’s reactions, reports the Mirror. Nevertheless, it seemed that not everyone initially believed the news.
Dianne’s father assumed the couple were having a laugh about the announcement. During the heartwarming footage, Dianne and Joe are shown sharing the news with various family members who were thrilled by the joyful revelation.
Writing alongside her post, Dianne said: “It’s hard being away from my family especially times like these but there reactions are a vision I’ll have forever! Haha dad was very much shocked in the begining and thought we were pranking him.” (sic)
Her post, which has received more than 11,000 likes, was inundated with comments from followers who couldn’t hide their emotions.
“Absolute golden moments,” one commented.
Another wrote: “So special! ! All their faces are beaming with joy.”
A fifth penned: “I’m crying once again omg Di these are too cuteee.” Last month, Dianne and Joe confessed they were incredibly anxious about sharing their news with family members.
During a YouTube Q&A session, Dianne shared her experience of informing her parents, admitting, “It was the most nervous I’d ever been. I was so nervous to tell people, I don’t know why. I almost put it off.”
Joe concurred that breaking the news to relatives was a nerve-wracking experience. “I think it was because it was such a big life moment,” he explained.
Speaking directly to the camera, he added: “I was way more nervous to tell friends and family than I was to tell you lot.”
Dianne revealed that her father initially thought they were joking and that Joe became emotional each time they informed someone new.
In the same video, the couple disclosed that they’ve already chosen a name for their baby boy, but Joe stated: “The name that we’ve come up with, we’re not going to share it. We can’t really give any clues to it other than I don’t really see this name really anywhere.
“I know some people who have it as their surname but it’s also the sort of name that can be shortened. I’d say it’s quite a unique name but it’s not unique as in-,” he continued, with Dianne interjecting: “Apple or pear. It’s kind of like Joe, isn’t it? Cute when you’re little, you can call yourself Joseph when you’re older.”
Joe went on to say: “Or it could be a good sportsman’s name. I’ve purposefully not said it out loud at all, whereas Dianne keeps calling him by that name. I do feel like between now and our due date, which is another thing I don’t think we’re going to share, I worry that we might end up revealing it by accident. From now on, he’s called Derek.”
