Wicklow driver says €10,000 of earnings ‘vanished into thin air’ after Fastway collapse

A Wicklow Fastway Couriers contractor says around €10,000 in earnings owed to him have “vanished into thin air”, following the collapse of the delivery firm, during what should be his busiest time of the year, leaving him and his self-employed wife relying solely on her income to make ends meet.

Avoca man Darragh Kennan is one of hundreds of contractors across the country who were left in financial limbo when Nuvion Group, the parent company of Fastway and Parcel Direct, went into receivership on October 28.
