Sharlene Mawdsley’s classy response to trolls after GAA All Stars

Sharlene Mawdsley had a ball at the 2025 All-Star Awards this weekend, as the sprinter attended the ceremony as her boyfriend Tipperary’s Mikey Breen’s plus one.

The Irish Olympian, 27, shared some stunning pictures from the event showcasing her glamorous black dress with a sparkling corset and thigh-high slit, writing: ‘All stars x’

Her post was flooded with compliments; however, she was subject to a few nasty messages as well with one person taking offense at the fact she hadn’t shared her GAA boyfriend in the first picture.

The person commented: ‘All stars awards but of course u had to make it all about u.’

But Sharlene was sharp to the mark to call them out, with the perfect classy response, simply saying: ‘Good morning to you too Cian,’ along with the love-heart hands emoji.

This comes after Sharlene and Mikey spoke to EVOKE at the GAA awards ceremony, and they clearly find it very easy to ignore the trolls as they are very settled in their relationship.

Meeting eight years ago at another awards ceremony in the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh, Tipperary, the couple’s first date was simple and romantic. ‘It was a walk in The Glens in Newport,’ and since then, they have gone from strength to strength.

In September, the couple took the next step in their relationship and moved in together, but they have found as two busy athletes under one roof, they are often like passing ships.

Mickey said: ‘We haven’t been there that much really because work and training, and we were on holiday and going on holiday again on Sunday with the team, but we are looking forward to a quiet December now and the festivities.’

While they may not have had much time living under the same roof together, Sharlene revealed how they keep track of each others jam-packed schedules.

Sharlene said: ‘We have a whiteboard to structure everything. We’re very organised. That comes from Mickey being a teacher; it definitely doesn’t come from me. I am chaotic, and he’s so organised, so I think having that whiteboard has helped us enough!’
