Catherine Zeta-Jones Reveals Actor She Wants to Play Cousin It on ‘Wednesday’

Catherine Zeta-Jones really wants one of her longtime famous friends to join the cast of Wednesday!

Over the weekend, the 56-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who plays Morticia Addams on the Netflix series, attended the FYC event for season two of Wednesday alongside co-stars Jenna Ortega and Luis Guzman.

While stepping out for the event, Catherine revealed the star that she wants to play Cousin It on a future season.

The possibility of Danny, 80, playing Cousin It isn’t too unfathomable, considering he previously worked with executive producer and director Tim Burton several times in the past, including on 1992′s Batman Returns, 2003′s Big Fish, and 2019′s Dumbo. Danny is also very good friends with Catherine‘s husband Michael Douglas.

“I don’t know how Danny DeVito hasn’t been cast already,” Catherine told Variety. “I was with him for our birthday in September [she and Michael share the same birthdate, September 25] and I was like, ‘Why isn’t Danny DeVito in Wednesday?’”

“Imagine Danny DeVito as Cousin It?” she continued. “That’d be so cool.”

However, Catherine then joked Danny might not be too happy about playing Cousin It.

“He’s gonna kill me for that,” Catherine said. “He’s like, ‘Yeah, they’re going to cast me and put hair all over my face. Thanks for suggesting that, Catherine.’”

Back in July, Wednesday was renewed for a third season. Get the scoop on the returning cast!
