Rhea Ripley’s WWE Survivor Series Status in Doubt After Brutal Nose Injury

Rhea Ripley’s Survivor Series future is officially up in the air after suffering a nasty injury during WWE’s tour of Japan.
The former Women’s World Champion broke her nose while teaming with IYO SKY against The Kabuki Warriors and hasn’t appeared on Monday Night RAW since. With the premium live event less than three weeks away, her participation in the Women’s WarGames match is in serious doubt.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE may already be preparing to move forward without her.
“Ripley was going to be there. I don’t know if she’s going to make it on time because she broke her nose. So Stephanie Vaquer is probably going to be in there,” Meltzer said.
If Ripley isn’t cleared in time, WWE reportedly plans to fill her spot with Vaquer and could reshape the entire WarGames lineup.
“Vaquer could be joined by AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair and possibly Nikki Bella to go against Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez,” Meltzer added.
Ripley’s injury occurred when she attempted to catch IYO SKY during their match in Japan, but the move went wrong as SKY was thrown over the top rope and crashed straight into Ripley’s face. After the show, Ripley shared a graphic image of her broken nose on social media, confirming how serious the damage was.
The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for WWE, with Survivor Series looming and “Mami” still one of the company’s biggest stars. If she can’t compete, her absence will leave a major hole in the women’s division and shift the momentum heading into the WarGames storyline.
