Devin Booker just cruised onto the court in one of his best PEs yet – a new Chevy-inspired Book 1 that looks straight out of the body shop. Given his affinity for classic American cars, it’s only right that this silhouette got another full-throttled take.
The 1996 Chevy Impala SS is one of the most cherished vehicles in Booker’s collection, and that adoration is clear on this hardwood exclusive. Dark cherry patent leather across the upper is a direct callback to the glossy finish on the corner-bending icon. Silver textured leather appears on the Swoosh logo, to send heads spinning like the 24-inch wheels it sits on.
The Chevy classic references don’t stop there, as embossed Book branding shows up on the lateral heel to mimic the Impala SS branding on the quarter panel. The stand-out detail has to be the legendary Impala logo stitched in silver on the forefoot, to match the antelope-leaping emblem seen on the trunk lid.
