THOMAS, W.Va (WDTV) – U.S. Route 219 is shutdown outside of Thomas about a mile north of Tucker County High School due to a vehicle accident.
The accident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. near the Fred Long Centennial Park, officials said.
Due to the road being blocked, Tucker County High School had to delay dismissal and announced that buses would be leaving at 4 p.m.
There is no word on any injuries at this time.
West Virginia State Police, the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office and the Parsons and Thomas fire departments responded to the scene.
