Up to 20,000 Kerry homes and business affected by major power cut

The Tralee, Castleisland, Ballyduff and Kilflynn areas have suffered the loss of power

Up to 20,000 homes are without electricity in Kerry this morning following a major power outage.

Shops, businesses and homes are all without electricity with more than 11,000 homes without power in Tralee alone.The Castleisland area is also affected as well as the Ballyheigue, Ballyduff and Kilflynn areas, which account for approximately 8,000 homes and businesses.

ESB crews are working to restore power as soon as possible.
