Part of the Hongqi Bridge in China’s Sichuan province collapsed on Tuesday after shifts were seen in the terrain of a mountain.
There were no causalities reported, according to Reuters, and police had closed the bridge to all traffic the day before after identifying cracks on nearby slopes and roads. Construction on the bridge finished earlier in the year.
Video from the Global Times, a China state-run media agency, showed huge clouds of dust pouring up from the river below the bridge after the collapse.
