Voting is now open for the El-Balad Buffalo Wild Wings Girls Athlete of the Week. This week, the poll features five outstanding nominees, consisting of four volleyball players and one swimmer, all of whom excelled during the week of November 2-8.

Gabby DiVita, Grosse Pointe South (Volleyball)
DiVita helped her team win both matches last week against Grosse Pointe North and Detroit Renaissance. She recorded 63 kills, averaging nine per set, and had a hitting percentage of .426. On defense, she contributed 27 digs and four blocks.

Brenna Mirovsky, Oxford (Volleyball)
This junior outside hitter played a crucial role in Oxford’s victories over Lake Orion and Clarkston, helping secure the district title for the first time since 2002. She finished with 22 kills, 35 digs, three blocks, and seven serving assists over two games.

Kayla Nwabueze, Bloomfield Hills (Volleyball)
Nwabueze’s exceptional performance powered Bloomfield Hills to the regional semifinals following a historic win against Bloomfield Hills Marian. In her two matches, she amassed 35 kills, 13 digs, and three aces, with 30 kills, 21 digs, and two blocks in the second match alone.

Ashlyn Taylor, Gibraltar Carlson (Swimming)
Ashlyn Taylor shone at the two-day Downriver League Championship, winning two individual events. She set personal records, finishing the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.21 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:18.79, leading her team to victory.

Eleanor Williams, Romeo (Volleyball)
Despite entering the tournament unranked, Williams led Romeo to a significant upset against No. 7 Utica Eisenhower. In two matches, she recorded a combined total of 35 kills, 21 digs, four blocks, and five aces.
