Armistice Day marked across the Bailiwick

A two-minutes silence to honour the country’s war dead has been observed across the Bailiwick.
In Guernsey, a canon was fired from Castle Cornet to mark the start and end of the period of remembrance.

Armistice Day is 11 November, with the silence held at 11:00.
It marks the exact time the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War.
Armistice Day has been observed every year since 1919.
