Married at First Sight UK has long been a source for good drama on the small screen, and the tenth season of E4’s reality series has been no different. With abrupt exits from the experiment, mismatched couples and a recent holiday scandal, it’s all happened.
For Abigail Callahan and John Shepherd, it’s been far smoother sailing. Despite coming into the experiment later than most couples, the pair have developed a strong bond throughout their time on the series and have undoubtedly been a success story.

This connection was reinforced in tonight’s (11 November) episode, which saw the pair read out their final vows along with Leigh and Leah, and Leisha and Reiss in the first part of the show’s finale.
While Leigh and Leah decided to end their marriage, Abi and John opted to continue on, with the pair lovingly looking into each other’s eyes as they made the ultimate commitment to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

“We stand connected through the journey of a lifetime with the ultimate reward – love… You are my present and my future, but most importantly, you are the love of my life,” said Abi in her vows.
“For years and years, I thought I wasn’t good enough to be loved,” said John. “But since the moment we stood together on our wedding day, I knew… In such a short time, we’ve created something I’m so proud of. This is only the beginning…”
“I feel amazing. This is the perfect way to end the first chapter of our journey,” he continued, with Abi adding: “I came into this experiment wanting to find love. I found John, a husband and our happily-ever-after.”
With Abi and John boldly moving forward from the final vow ceremony, attention will now turn to how their relationship worked in the real world outside of the experiment, though we’ll have to wait to find out.

Typically, cast members from the series aren’t allowed to post relationship updates while the season is still airing, though fans can be reassured for Abi and John as the pair have posted plenty of adorable content on their socials over the past week.
On Instagram, John posted a cute montage of the couple’s stint on the series, while Abi shared a nice photo of the pair just hours before tonight’s instalment aired – here’s hoping they’re still together now!
