Multiple fire departments responded to a fire at Holmes Recycling Services in Clinton Township, according to the Northland Fire Wire. Smoke was seen billowing over the treetops.
Just before 11 a.m. on November 11, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched, where it was reported that several cars were on fire.
According to a release sent out by the department, the fire began after a vehicle was being compacted, and it’s battery may have exploded. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The fire is contained, and multiple agencies are currently investigating the fire.
