Ace Bailey Sets Career-High In Utah Jazz Win Over Pacers

SALT LAKE CITY – Rookie Ace Bailey set a new career-high, but was far from the only bright spot for the Utah Jazz in a 152-128 win over Indiana.

The Jazz (4-7) hosted the reeling Indiana Pacers (1-10) at Delta Center on Tuesday, November 11.

Bailey made six of 13 shots, including a career-high four shots from deep.

Eight Jazz players reached double-figure scoring, led by 35 points from Lauri Markkanen. Markkanen made five threes and shot 68.4 percent from the field.

Svi Mykhailiuk added 20 points on an efficient 8-of-10 from the field.

Jusuf Nurkić and Isaiah Collier each had double-doubles. Nurkić was a force in the paint, contributing 11 points and 11 rebounds to go with four assists. Collier came off the bench for 14 points and 11 assists in his best performance of the year.

Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski scored 16 points apiece off the bench. Utah’s bench combined for 56 points.

Extensive injury reports haunt Jazz & Pacers

It’s no surprise that Walker Kessler (shoulder surgery) and Georges Niang (Left foot stress reaction) remain on the injury report. Still, Will Hardy will be without several others tonight against the Pacers.

Kyle Anderson (right lower back soreness) and Taylor Hendricks (right hamstring soreness) will miss their second straight games after sitting out last night’s loss against Minnesota. Veteran big man Kevin Love will also be in street clothes tonight for rest purposes.

Jazz Injury Report:

OUT – Kyle Anderson (Right Lower Back Soreness)

OUT – Taylor Hendricks (Right Hamstring Soreness)

OUT – Walker Kessler (Left Shoulder Injury Recovery)

OUT – Kevin Love (Rest)

OUT – Georges Niang (Left Foot, Fourth Metatarsal Stress Reaction)

OUT – John…

The Pacers aren’t any better off as they have yet to recover from All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton’s torn Achilles suffered in the 2025 NBA Finals.

Indiana also misses Johnny Furphy (right ankle sprain), Quenton Jackson (right hamstring strain), Bennedict Mathurin (right great toe sprain), Kam Jones (low back stress reaction), and Obi Toppin (right foot stress fracture) when they take the Delta Center floor.

Will Walker Kessler’s frustration rise after getting injured without a contract extension?

More importantly, would the @UtahJazz still consider trading the injured center this season?#takenote https://t.co/fGKLodzDfM

Walt Clayton has shown a willingness to take VERY deep half court threes.

He’s taken as many 29+ footers as Lauri Markkanen this season, despite attempting 64 fewer threes overall.

Will Hardy says it’s not on accident. #TakeNote  | @kslsports pic.twitter.com/kt5WyQr0b5

First Quarter

As is always the case, the new uniforms look better on actual NBA players than on mannequins or in photos.

— Ben Anderson (@BensHoops) November 12, 2025

Until Lauri and Nurkic start trying to play defense, I am not sure how much asking the younger guys to develop on that end is going to matter.

Ace Bailey dunks, and Siakam goes 94 feet in about 3 seconds for a layup and one, zero contest.

I don’t think he’ll stay in the rotation, and he hasn’t doesn’t do anything to help his case statistically, especially on offense, but I do think Cody Williams is playing better this season.

You can’t overstate how badly the Jazz have needed a player who brings Bailey’s spark since the rebuild began.

Worth noting, Kyle Filipowski is the only Jazz player with more than 200 minutes played and a positive +/- for the season.
