LaVine’s Scoring Dips to Season Low in Loss to Thunder

In a disappointing turn of events for the Kings, guard Zach LaVine experienced a rare off night, contributing only nine points in a heavy 132-101 loss to the Thunder. LaVine managed to hit three of his five field goal attempts, including two of three from beyond the arc, while also adding two rebounds, two assists, and a steal over 29 minutes of play.
This performance marks LaVine’s lowest scoring output of the season, making it the sole instance where he has failed to reach double digits this year. Despite this setback, LaVine has been a pivotal player for the Kings, averaging an impressive 25.1 points per game, often leading the team in scoring.
The defeat against the Thunder served as an outlier in what has generally been a strong season for the veteran guard, raising questions about the team’s performance moving forward as they seek to rebound from this blowout loss.
