Charlotte Crosby reveals secret turmoil as she admits heartbreaking money troubles with relationship ‘on the brink’

AS a reality TV star who’s been in the business for 15 years, life for Charlotte Crosby has been a rollercoaster – and motherhood is no different.

Opening up in an emotional chat with The Sun, the Geordie Shore favourite revealed how having a second child has pushed her relationship with fiancé Jake Ankers to the brink and admitted for the first time about her secret money troubles.

In a new reality show launching on Paramount+ next week, the 34-year-old is seen breaking down in tears as she confronts her other half, who flew to Australia to surprise her during a work trip.

The reunion turned sour when Charlotte admitted she needed time away from her partner of four years, which will play out in heartbreaking scenes in Geordie Stories: Charlotte Mam of two.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of her new show’s release next week, Charlotte opened up on juggling work with two kids – saying she can’t afford help like Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, who came under fire for having a secret nanny to raise daughter Bambi.

Charlotte says: “We had a really hard time in the beginning with our second child, like thousands of people will relate to.

“Couples are under strain when they have one child, let alone two. It’s hard, and there’s no sugar coating it.

“We’re just showing the reality of our life. We’re both working parents with kids who aren’t in nursery full-time, and we don’t have any help with a nanny or anything like that.

“I don’t really have a lot of money, let me tell you.

“I’ve just moved house and I’m renovating, so I’m literally on the bones of my arse, so listen, it’s difficult for everyone.

“I wasn’t going to hide the difficult times we’ve had in our relationship. People go through ups and downs. That’s just the part and parcel of life.

“We’re just trying to show our lives and that’s it. People can take it or leave it how they want to.”

After a series of rows with Charlotte, Jake flew across the world in a bid to fix their relationship.

But the businessman’s sweet gesture was slammed as “selfish” by Charlotte, who “spiralled out of control” after he turned up unannounced while she was working Down Under.

She cried: “I feel overwhelmed with everything. I’m working, trying to balance not one, but two TV shows, and look after the girls. I’m just so tired.”

The reality star even confided to her mum she feared: “It’s made me think, is there even going to be a future?”

Jake headed home early to focus on his company – Streamline Executive, a luxury chauffeur service for high-profile clients, including David Beckham.

However, months on from the massive blowout, Charlotte insists the couple are back on track.

She says: “When we were filming, we were going through a really hard stage, but me and Jake are never gonna give up on each other.

“We would never be the type to cheat, but we’ll butt heads, we’ll argue, and we’ll have hard patches of times with the kids. That’s the same as any other family on the planet.

“We’ll never give up on each other. We love each other so much. I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else but Jake.

“The reason we got through is because you’ve got no other option. You’ve just got to keep on pushing ahead, getting through the tough times.

“We’re both got our own businesses. I’m self-employed, so we can’t stop, or else we won’t be able to pay the bills, and we’ve got children to look after.

“You’ve just got to keep pushing ahead. Listen, tough times don’t last long.

“I never ever thought about giving up on us.”

Charlotte is now in a happy and confident place as she embarks on the launch of Geordie Stories: Charlotte Mam of two, with more fire in her belly than ever before.

She says: “Since starting on Geordie Shore 15 years ago, it’s not been an easy ride.

“It wasn’t like when people go on Love Island and get offered everything.

“We had every door in our face slammed because no one wanted to work with us because we were from Geordie Shore.

“I went through a bit of a period of time where I chose to have a family, and I’ve got two beautiful young girls, but obviously, as a woman who wants to have both, it’s a little bit of a struggle and especially in my industry because it’s a dog-eat-dog world.

“If you’re not there to do the job, someone else will get it and you’ll get left behind.

“So life at the moment is absolute chaos all of the time because there is little help, and it’s just us trying to do everything to make it work – but I feel so lucky that I’m still here 15 years later. It’s really quite an achievement.”
