Xiaomi EV achieved a record 48,654 deliveries in October, marking the second consecutive month exceeding 40,000 units and nearing the 50,000-unit mark.
The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) released the figure in a report today. Xiaomi EV announced on November 1 that October deliveries again exceeded 40,000 units without specifying the exact number.
From January to October, Xiaomi EV has delivered 315,376 vehicles, nearing its full-year target of 350,000 units.
The YU7 SUV — a competitor to Tesla’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y — delivered a record 33,662 units in October, accounting for 69.19 percent of Xiaomi EV’s monthly deliveries. This represents a 50.49 percent increase from September’s 22,369 units.
Xiaomi officially launched the YU7, its first electric SUV, on June 26.
Cumulative YU7 deliveries reached 80,855 units by the end of October, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
The SU7 sedan series, comprising the standard SU7 and SU7 Ultra, delivered 14,992 units in October — a 27.67 percent year-on-year decline and a 23.43 percent month-on-month decrease.
This drop stems not from reduced demand but from Xiaomi EV’s ongoing production constraints, which have prioritized YU7 manufacturing capacity.
Chinese customers who currently order the standard SU7 still face a minimum 26-week wait for delivery. The wait time for the YU7 ranges from 32 to 38 weeks, according to CnEVPost’s daily monitoring.
The SU7 sedan series — which began deliveries in April 2024 — has accumulated 234,521 deliveries from January to October.
The new team, led directly by Xiaomi’s founder, is responsible for setting the technical direction for its next-generation EV technology architecture.
