Emmerdale fans were left speechless as one character dropped a huge bombshell on Wednesday

Emmerdale viewers will know that Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) made his debut back in May, where he was introduced as Ross Barton’s (Michael Parr) secret half-brother.
Ahead of his appearance, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) stumbled upon a letter intended for “The Family of Emma Barton”.
ITV soap fans will recall that Moira was responsible for Emma’s (Gillian Kearney) death back in 2017 after the villain kidnapped her baby, Isaac.
Despite her nervousness, Moira told Ross about the letter, and he decided to meet up with Lewis.
However, he struggled to address Lewis’s probing questions about their shared history without revealing the family secrets he had kept buried for years.

The pair have grown closer in recent months, and have even moved into Dale View together.
Lewis has made it clear that he doesn’t know who his dad is, but that might be about to change after a huge bombshell was dropped during Wednesday’s (November 12) episode.
Today’s instalment, which is now available to stream on ITVX, tells the story of Robert Sugden’s (Ryan Hawley) time in prison, with several surprises along the way.
Robert told his sister, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins), and his ex, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), about his time behind bars, which was revealed through a series of flashbacks.
Meanwhile, his prison husband Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) spoke to Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) in the café, after the GP learnt that he was lying about having a terminal illness.

But that’s not the only secret Kev’s been keeping. “I lie about stuff all the time. I lie about not having a kid all the time,” he revealed.
“[I’ve got] a son. I don’t want people thinking bad of me for never bothering with him. I never asked to have him. Had a crazy one-nighter with a barmaid in Leeds and suddenly bang, there’s a baby.”
Kev continued: “[The mother] put him up for adoption as soon as he was born. Emma something, right fruit loop. I think she got herself murdered a few years ago,” just as Lewis began cleaning the table in front of him.
Emmerdale fans were left speechless after watching the scenes, with one person writing on X (formerly Twitter): “Omg what a twist! Lewis is Kev’s son!”
Another added: “Certainly wasn’t expecting that plot twist, WILD,” while a third said: “Aww, poor Lewis with all he’s been through in his life, and now we find out he was born to two unhinged parents.”
