The Tragically Hip, Charlotte Cardin, Nelly Furtado Team with Boi-1da for FIFA World Cup Project

The FIFA World Cup is only a matter of months away, and Canadian musicians are gearing up for a challenge. Award-winning Canadian producer Boi-1da is spearheading a special music project set to raise funds for the Canada Soccer Foundation.
The Perfect Pitch program is set to produce a FIFA World Cup-themed album that unites both sports and music fans, with all proceeds benefiting youth soccer programs across the country.
Among the first Canadian musicians joining forces with Boi-1da for the project are the Tragically Hip, Alessia Cara, Charlotte Cardin, Loud Luxury, Nelly Furtado and Zeds Dead, with the Hip giving Boi-1da access to the band’s entire catalogue.
The diverse range of artists blends a wide spectrum of genres and cultures with original music, collaborations and reimagined tracks on the forthcoming album set to be released ahead of the June 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement from Canada Soccer, Boi-1da shares his anticipation of the album: “The energy around this project has been incredible. It’s inspiring to see so many iconic Canadian artists come together. What we’re creating isn’t just an album, it’s a cultural statement. The music represents every corner of the country, and I’m proud of how collaborative and inclusive the process has been.”
