‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Trailer: Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs Reunite 20 Years After Original Movie

Gird your loins: The first teaser for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has been released.

In the brief, 52-second clip, Meryl Streep‘s Miranda Priestly struts down the halls of Runway in red stilettos before she’s joined in the elevator by her former assistant, Anne Hathaway‘s Andy Sachs.

“Took you long enough,” Miranda growls as Andy smirks and slips on black sunglasses.

A sequel to the beloved 2006 film, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” will follow Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly as she attempts to navigate her career in a world where print journalism is dying. Miranda soon finds herself being faced against Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former junior assistant who is now an high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.

The original “Devil Wears Prada” follows recent college graduate Andrea Sachs who finds herself eager to secure a job in journalism. Andy soon takes a position at Runway Magazine as a junior assistant for Priestly, where she is forced to choose between a professional life or losing her personal relationships the closer she gets to her dream career. A critical and commercial hit, “The Devil Wears Prada” grossed $326 million at the worldwide box office.

Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will reprise their roles in “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” Kenneth Branagh will play Priestly’s husband in the sequel, with Simone Ashley in an undisclosed role. Variety exclusively reported that Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux, and Pauline Chalamet will be joining as additional cast members. Meanwhile Patrick Brammall will play Andy’s new love interest, with Rachel Bloom playing an undisclosed role in the film. It was previously confirmed that Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in the first film, will not be returning to the sequel.
