Tyler Dorsey: “We have to be prepared for a high-level battle against Zalgiris”

Tyler Dorsey, the Olympiacos guard, gave his statement and expectations for the upcoming game against Zalgiris in Round 10 of the Euroleague.
Tyler Dorsey expressed his feelings in regards to facing the red-hot Lithuanian side, which has won its last four Euroleague games, racking up wins against Barcelona, Virtus , Asvel and Valencia respectively.
“They are playing very well so far, a dangerous team. We have to be prepared for a hard-fought battle and a top level game. We have to get ready mentally and physically, try to get a win at home. Obviously, they have been winning a lot of games at home too, so it’s a big match for us to start the double week.” – Dorsey said.
Dorsey also spoke about matching up opposite to his former teammate, center Moses Wright, while also speaking about another previous companion, guard Nigel Williams-Goss, who will not be travelling with the Lithuanian champions to Athens.
“Moses (Wright) is playing really well this year. When we go out on the court we are always competitive, whoever the opponent is. Nigel is hurt, so I hope he gets better and comes back. Only love, but once we get out on the court it will be a battle.” – Dorsey noted.
The Greek international also reflected on the return of point guard Keenan Evans, who will be making his comeback to the court after a long absence due to multiple injuries in the previous period:
“Keenan (Evans) brings a different level to the point guard position. I hope he keeps this momentum going. Obviously it’s just the beginning for him. He adds a dynamic player to the point guard line. He can get guys involved, score as well. He’s going to be a reliable piece. The important thing is for him to stay healthy and we’ll be fine. He’s a great piece for us.”
Dorsey also talked about his impressive start to the season and whether he believes this year will be a career year for him.
“I’m not sure. It’s about consistency. It’s a good start so far, I have to continue my rhythm, my routine, be consistent.” – he conluded.
The two teams face off on Tuesday night, with a scheduled 20:30 tip-off. Olympiacos stands at 6-3, while Zalgiris stands atop of the Euroleague table at 7-2.
