“You’ll really feel for Lewis,” explains our Emmerdale source. “He’s known by all the villagers for his cheeky charm and positive energy, so he wants to maintain that vibe as much as possible.
“But the truth is that, sometimes, things can become too much for him, and one example of that is when the queue builds up at the café. Panic takes over, so he drops what he’s doing and rushes home. The picture tells you all you need to know about how fragile Lewis is feeling once he gets there.”

The week begins with Kammy determined to hold a housewarming party for Vinny, Lewis and Ross. In the café, Lewis gives Kammy the go ahead, even though he feels anxious inside.
When the party kicks off the following day, Lewis chooses to man the drinks station rather than revel in the party atmosphere. Will anyone pick up on his reluctance to get involved?
“Having so many partygoers in the house must be tough for Lewis,” says our insider. “You’d hope that one of them realises something’s up, but equally, Lewis is a pro at keeping up appearances now.

“After a while, the guests move on and bring the party to the Woolpack, while Lewis opts to stay at home and tidy up. It’s gutting that he’d rather be alone than with his pals.”
That said, Lewis isn’t by himself for too long, as Kev returns on the hunt for his jacket. The two men begin to chat, which marks the beginning of an unlikely friendship between the pair.
