Where Selling the OC’s Tyler Stanaland and Alex Hall Stand After Reunion

Selling the OC’s Tyler Stanaland and Alex Hall have come a long way after a tear-filled reunion and subsequent conversation in front of the Netflix cameras.
“I wish maybe we would have had less alcohol in our systems just because of all the water works. But even watching the episode back, it was even moving for me,” Hall, 33, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while reflecting on season 4 of Netflix’s hit reality show. “I think we both said what we needed to say, and then some. We’re both just in really good places in our lives right now, and I don’t think there’s much more than that we can ask for other than that.”
In season 4 of Selling the OC, which began streaming via Netflix on Wednesday, November 12, Hall and Stanaland, 36, reunited after not speaking for nearly a year and a half.
While their initial conversation at an open house was tense, things took a turn for the better when the cast enjoyed a trip to Palm Springs, California.
Selling the OC has been following realtors from The Oppenheim Group located in Orange County, California, since 2022. While seasons 1 through 3 were filmed almost back-to-back, season 4 wasn’t confirmed until January. The cast originally included Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim, Alexandra “Alex” Hall, Tyler Stanaland, Gio Helou, Kayla Cardona, Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Polly […]
“Regardless of all of the s*** we’ve been through, I really, really love you,” Stanaland tearfully told Hall during a separate one-on-one conversation. “I’m not proud of all the ways we’ve handled our relationship, and there is a list of a f***ing million things that I wish I could do differently in my life, and 999 of them are about us.”

Although the show couldn’t cover every moment of the raw chat, Stanaland is happy with what viewers ultimately witnessed of the vulnerable discussion.
“I think there’s so much that is tough to tell in an 8-episode series, let alone one episode,” Stanaland exclusively shared with Us. “Our relationship was very nuanced, and I think we finally got to the bottom of everything, and kind of left that chapter in the past.”
When looking back on the “emotional” sit-down in the desert, Stanaland believes it “felt like closure.”
“It felt like the closure of so much, and the culmination of just a lot of hard work coming to fruition,” Stanaland shared. “Life is very good now. I’m in a beautiful relationship. Work’s going great, and so it’s just that time. It just felt [like] it was a nice little stamp of closure.”

On October 16, Stanaland announced he was engaged to Hannah Morrissey after a romantic proposal at Moonstone Beach in Cambria, California.
As for Hall, she was able to publicly reveal her boyfriend, Ian Young, on season 4 of Selling the OC. Most recently, they moved into a house together in Temecula, California.

When asked if it was awkward to film a reality show with Hall’s new boyfriend, Stanaland made it clear he’s cool with Young.
“Ian and I have been in communication since the first time I met him. We’ve been friends on Instagram. We have mutual friends. We trade messages,” he explained. “It was less awkward for me to see him than it was for me to see her, which is weird, but I mean, very on brand for the Oppenheim Group.”
Selling the OC season 4 is streaming now on Netflix.
