The first game in the national television NBA doubleheader on Wednesday, Nov. 12 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York where the Orlando Magic are visiting the New York Knicks.

The Knicks are 7-3 and all of those wins have come at home, where they are undefeated so far. They are playing in the second half of a back-to-back that opened with a 133-120 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. It was the fifth straight victory for New York, who is now playing the sixth game of a seven-game home stand. Jalen Brunson led the way in Tuesday’s win with 32 points and 10 assists while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points and, 13 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Mikal Bridges had 22, five assists and four steals and off the bench, Jordan Clarkson had 13 points and Josh Hart had 8, eight assists and two steals.
The Magic are 5-6 and winners in two of their last three, including their last contest, a 115-112 meeting with the Portland Trail Blazers. Desmond Bane provided a game-winning buzzer-beating 3-pointer in that contest, capping off a 22 point, seven assist performance. Paolo Banchero led the squad with 28 and nine boards while Franz Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr. both had 19, nine boards and two blocks, and they also combined for 11 assists.
