The M1 in South Yorkshire is closed northbound between J30 (Barlborough) and J31 (Aston), due to a collision.
10 am – All carriageways show as open

At approximately 05:30 this morning, National Highways were made aware of an incident whereby a vehicle collided with the nearside barrier, coming to rest on its side.
South Yorkshire Police, Fire and Ambulance Services initially attended the scene.
National Highways service providers are currently cleaning the road surface of a spillage and debris caused by the incident. Recovery are also on scene.
Diversion Details
Road users with vehicles under 14’3 are advised to follow the solid circle diversion symbol on road signs:
• Exit the M1 at J30 and take the 3rd exit on to the A616
• At the next roundabout, take the 1st exit on to the A619
• At the roundabout with the A60, keep left and join the A60
• At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit on to the A57
• Continue on the A57 and rejoin the M1 at J31
• Road users with vehicles over 14’3 are advised to follow the solid triangle diversion symbol on road signs:
• Exit the M1 at J30 and take the 1st exit on ot the A6135
• Stay on the A6135 until the intersection with the B6052
• Turn right at the intersection on to the B6052 and straight on to the B6053
• Continue travelling on the B6053 until the roundabout with the A57
Take the 3rd exit on to the A57 and travel along this road to rejoin the M1 at J31
