Dad still in ICU — Enrile’s daughter

(UPDATE) CHIEF presidential legal counsel Juan Ponce Enrile is still in the intensive care unit (ICU), where he is being treated for pneumonia, his daughter said Wednesday.
“He is under the dedicated care of his attending physicians and medical staff who are providing him with the best possible treatment and attention,” Enrile’s daughter Katrina said in a Facebook post.
The younger Enrile, who serves as president and chief executive officer of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, thanked everyone who reached out to the family in praying for the former Senate president.

Newspaper columnist Ramon Tulfo said in a Facebook post late on Tuesday, citing Enrile’s son, Jack, that the former Senate president may be 101 years old according to official records, but he might even be older than that.
“Jack said records retrieved at the Aglipayan church in Cagayan show that Juan Ponce Enrile was born on June 22, 1922. That makes him 103 years old!” he wrote.
Jack also said that his father “may go anytime soon.”
During a Senate session on Tuesday, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada revealed that Enrile, who has been on leave from his official duties since October, was in the ICU and that his chance for survival was low.
