Mark Castillo, one of thousands of commuters affected by Monday’s disruptions, said he had to change his travel plans.
“What I’m seeing here is my train is canceled. My 205 is canceled. I might have to jump on the Doylestown and walk from there,” he told Action News.
Darrell Williams, a frequent Regional Rail rider, said he’s been adjusting his schedule to avoid being stranded. “That’s why I kinda got a head start right now. I kinda left early to give me time to get there on time,” he said.

The cancellations come after the Federal Railroad Administration granted SEPTA a two-week extension to complete inspections of its 223 Silverliner IV railcars, following a series of fires that raised safety concerns.
As of Monday, 193 inspections had been completed ahead of the Nov. 14 deadline.
“(Monday) was a very difficult day for our customers, and we’re working very hard to get it at least a little bit better moving ahead,” said SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch.
