Power restored near Midtown

UPDATE (4:35):
TEP has confirmed that power has been restored to most customers.
The company said that “an electrical fault affected a substation that provides 46-kilovolt service to several areas of town.”
“Multiple breakers opened, operating as designed,” TEP said.
According to TEP, more than 18,000 customers were affected by the outage, which started at 2:08 p.m.
The statement said it lasted about an hour and 10 minutes.

Oro Valley Police posted this on Facebook:
“Update: It appears as the traffic signals are coming back online. Please use caution in the area, in case of another outage.
Traffic advisory: All traffic lights on Oracle are malfunctioning. Please treat all intersections with traffic lights as a four way stop when they are not working. It is advisable to avoid the area until ADOT can make required repairs.”
