Manchester United have reportedly opened a dialogue with super agent Jorge Mendes for Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi.
The 23-year-old is a versatile player who mainly plays on the wings, but can operate in various roles in the final third.
Last summer, Man Utd revamped their attack by signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. However, they also offloaded a host of forwards, mainly Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund.
Therefore, there could be some room for additional personnel in attack, especially with the team looking on the right path towards booking a European spot next season.
Man United make contact for Karim Adeyemi
According to a reputable transfer insider, United have contacted Mendes, enquiring about the services of his client, Adeyemi.
While this source didn’t reveal further information, this potential move would be more plausible in the summer rather than in January. After all, Dortmund are unlikely to part ways with one of their top stars in the middle of the campaign.

It should be noted that this isn’t the first time that Adeyemi has been linked with a move to MUFC. He has also been on the radars of several other top European clubs, including Napoli and Juventus.
As a native of Munich, Adeyemi began his career at Bayern Munich, and then had several experiences, before rising to prominence at an early age during his stint at RB Salzburg. He then earned a €35 million to BVB in the summer of 2022, and he’s been a staple at Signal Iduna Park ever since.
This season, the attacker has thus far contributed with three goals and as many assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.
Where would Adeyemi fit at Man Utd
Adeyemi also stole the headlines with his ‘extraordinary’ fair-play gesture earlier in the campaign, when he refused to launch an inviting counter-attack while his opponent was on the ground, instead choosing to throw the ball out of bounds.

As a left-footed player, the German international prefers to play on the right wing, but Man Utd are already covered in this role thanks to Mbeumo and Amad Diallo.
Nevertheless, Adeyemi can be equally devastating on the left side, and can even play as a striker if required.
