Aaron Judge or Cal Raleigh? Watch the 2025 MLB MVP announcement tonight to find out

Don’t miss the MLB season awards tonight, November 13 at 7:00pm ET.

Who will it be? The MLB MVP announcement is tonight. While Shohei Ohtani is almost guaranteed to hear his name called for the National League, we can finally put to rest the Aaron Judge vs. Cal Raleigh debate in the American League race.

Aaron Judge is that guy. He hit 53 home runs, had 114 RBI, accounting for a .331 batting average and a nearly unbelievable .457 on-base percentage. Judge is the Captain of the New York Yankees, the driving force behind their offense and a no-doubter for MVP. Oh, and did I mention a WAR of 9.7? Let’s face it, the Yankees wouldn’t be the Yankees right now if it weren’t for Judge.

And then, there’s Cal Raleigh. The newcomer to the race, Raleigh hit 60 homeruns, had 125 RBI, accounting for a .247 batting average and a .359 on-base percentage. Raleigh, or Big Dumper as he’d been nicknamed, earned a WAR of 8. It was a remarkable season for anyone, but especially for a catcher. Raleigh was the heart and soul of the offense in a historic season for the Seattle Mariners. It makes complete sense that he’s in the conversation for MVP.
