Man Utd £70m transfer target ‘angry’ with his furious manager as talks underway

Manchester United are on red alert after learning that a talented target is growing increasingly unsettled at his club ahead of the January transfer window
Manchester United are eyeing another transfer for Ruben Amorim
Manchester United have reportedly been placed on high alert regarding a potential move for Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.
The pacey attacker is experiencing a troubled period at Dortmund and appears unsettled as the January transfer window draws near. United invested more than £200million to secure Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha during the summer transfer window to give them a more successful strike force.
These signings completely transformed their attacking options at Old Trafford and Ruben Amorim is starting to reap the rewards following a better run of results, with five games unbeaten in the Premier League. However, the club continues to monitor potential new additions and Adeyemi’s predicament at Dortmund has piqued their interest.
The 23-year-old has spent three years at Dortmund after emerging as a youngster at Red Bull Salzburg, but German reports suggest tensions are mounting. Adeyemi has managed three goals and three assists across 14 appearances this campaign and has recently fallen out with boss Niko Kovac.
He hurled a bottle towards the dugout after being withdrawn during last month’s 1-0 victory against Koln, prompting Kovac to publicly criticise his conduct, reports the Mirror.

The Dortmund boss said: “I think that’s unnecessary. It’s okay that he can be angry sometimes, but that’s unnecessary, he’s an adult.”
Kovac appeared visibly exasperated with his display during the weekend’s 1-1 stalemate with Hamburg and matters have allegedly reached breaking point.
Bild reports discussions are well underway regarding Adeyemi’s future at the club. Currently contracted until June 2027, his new agent Jorge Mendes is pushing for a revised deal, which would include a £70million release clause.
Mendes, renowned for facilitating high-profile transfers, is no stranger to United, having played a key role in their signings of Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte in recent years.

Adeyemi, known for his blistering pace and versatility on both wings, has netted 29 goals and provided 22 assists in 121 appearances for Dortmund. United will be keenly monitoring how his rapport with Kovac evolves over the coming weeks.
Following Dortmund’s 4-1 defeat by Manchester City in the Champions League, Kovac sought to highlight the positives in Adeyemi’s performance after he played 81 minutes at the Etihad Stadium. He said: “I want to keep it general: the passing quality that City showed compared to us was better.
“Karim had a few situations, but he didn’t succeed. He lacked precision and accuracy. But I am satisfied that he earned the chance in the first place.”
United are believed to be prioritising the acquisition of a central midfielder in the January transfer window, with Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson and Carlos Baleba among the players they’re eyeing.
