BYU Forward Kennard Davis Placed Under Arrest for Suspected DUI

Provo Police sent out a media release Thursday evening that BYU forward Kennard Davis was placed under arrest for a suspected DUI. Below is the full release from Provo Police.

“At approximately 11:45 am on Thursday November 13th, 2025, Provo Police Officers responded to a crash at the intersection of 900 W Center St.

During the accident investigation, officers found cause to place of the drivers – Kennard Davis, aged 20 – under arrest for suspected DUI. Davis was transported to the Provo Police Station for further investigation and was subsequently cited with DUI charges. He was released for medical treatment for minor injuries, and his vehicle was impounded.”

The media release did not mention what substance was suspected.

BYU sent out a staying saying, “We are aware of the allegations and looking into the situation.”

The BYU Basketball team arrived to Boston Thursday evening for the matchup Saturday at 7pm at UConn. Kennard missed Tuesday’s game versus Delaware due to achilles soreness and Dawson Baker started in his place. He transferred to BYU this offseason after spending two seasons at Southern Illinois.
